Candle Care

  • Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
  • Do not burn candles near flammable objects or materials.
  • Before each lightning, trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (0.6 cm). This helps prevent excessive flickering, soot, and uneven burning.
  • Only trim wicks when COLD.
  • Allow the candle to burn long enough for the entire surface to become liquid on the first use to avoid candle tunneling.
  • Never leave any burning candle unattended.
  • Place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and use a candle holder that is appropriate for the size of the candle. This helps catch any dripping wax, provides stability and protects the surface.
  • Stop using a candle when only 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) of wax remains. Burning a candle beyond this point can cause the container to overheat.
  • Allow the candle to cool completely before relighting. This prevents overheating and uneven burning.
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame rather than blowing it out, which can cause wax splatter and smoking. This helps maintain a clean a clean and soot-free environment.
  • Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration and melting. You can also keep it wrapped until use. This will preserve wax characteristic and condition and will help protect the candle from collecting dust.
  • If wrapped candles lose sheen, simply use hand warmth and polish gently with thumbs to restore shine.
  • If the candle pools unevenly, adjust the wick for an even burn.

Following these steps will maximize the enjoyment of your candle.
